Physics Learning and Teaching in Higher Education Community meeting 3 - 18th June 2020 - Assessments for learning
This meeting focused on assessments, a topic we encounter daily and one that will need a rethink in the current environment. Both of our presenters shared their experience of assessment practices established before the move to online. Mark Everitt (University of Loughborough) presented their philosophy on assessment including a way to support synoptic learning through narratives and open ended exam questions and Matt Mears (University of Sheffield) discussed his use of portfolios as a way to assess student learning.
