Wrapped in Celebration: International Women's Day

Have you ever wondered what it's like to step into someone else's shoes? Or in this case, someone else's hijab?

A few weeks back, we hosted a stand at university square that not only sparked curiosity but also ignited conversations about diversity, acceptance, and the celebration of womanhood. Yes, you guessed it right – it was World Hijab Day!

The University Square transformed with a stand full of colors, cultures, and conversations. From 11 am to 3 pm, students from all walks of life came together to embrace the beauty of hijab. Organized by one of our very own entrepreneurs, Lucky Ali and Lucky's Cafe+ this event wasn't just about donning a piece of fabric; it was about breaking barriers and fostering understanding. 

Imagine yourself wrapping a hijab for the first time – feeling the soft fabric against your skin, the gentle sway as you move, and the subtle shift in perspective. 'First-Time Hijab Challenge.' was more than just a fashion statement; it was a journey of self-discovery. And oh, the joy of receiving a complimentary hijab, personalized just for you! 

But it wasn't just about the physical experience. It was about amplifying voices and sharing stories. Students like you gathered to share their thoughts on what hijab meant to them. It was a melting pot of ideas, where differences were celebrated, and understanding flourished. 

One of the highlights of the day was the Speed Q&A Corner, where students engaged with a guest speaker in a rapid-fire session of questions and answers. It was enlightening to see minds opening up, perspectives shifting, and stereotypes being shattered. And let's not forget the delicious cookies that added sweetness to our day. Because who says meaningful conversations can't be accompanied by a treat or two? 

As we reflect on the success of the World Hijab Day event, let's not forget the broader message it carries. It's a reminder that embracing diversity is not just a one-time event; it's a journey we embark on every day. It's about stepping out of our comfort zones, understanding each other's experiences, and celebrating the beauty of differences.
