Congratulations to University of Liverpool Management School student, India Atkinson, who has recently been named as one of Northern Ireland’s top 30 entrepreneurs under 30.
India was praised for her achievements in developing her marketing business, which specialises in diversity and improving the representation of disability.
She has worked with brands including L’oreal, Rimmel London, Boohoo, Coca-Cola, Kelloggs, and Amazon. India is currently working with Tiktok as part of their creator programme, achieving recognition for her contribution to the platform, where she is educating the world on issues such as accessibility and ableism one viral video at a time.
A self-appointed “CEO of One-Handed Humour”, she said she always wanted to be her own boss.
India said: “My brand is all about fulfilling this demand for inclusive marketing, and normalising disability in all areas of society that I can get access to.
“So far, this has gone from simple social media content creation to modelling, presenting and public speaking, with big ideas for diversification in the next year.
“My intentions were always to find a means of supporting myself and my family, all while avoiding ending up in a career that took away my excitement for life and my creativity.
“But beyond monetary goals, I always wanted to achieve something bigger. I never would have imagined that TikTok was going to be that key component to kickstarting my entrepreneurial career.”
