Welcome Rookie is a team-based card game for medical students that facilitates experiential learning by embedding the theories of medical ethics into engaging and playable stories.
Omar used the University of Liverpool Enterprise Funding he was awarded to cover the costs of developing a companion augmented reality app, and to participate in the European Conference on Games Based Learning, where his card game placed second!
“This is a brilliant scheme that I really appreciate receiving to help me take my game to the next level.”
The Enterprise Fund has been bolstering enterprise and entrepreneurship within the University for the past three years, thanks to our partnership with Santander Universities UK. Applications have opened once again, and successful applicants will receive up to £500 to make their business idea a reality.
Earlier this academic year, virtual pitching sessions were introduced to allow successful applicants to present their business idea in person, receive feedback, and practice their pitching skills.
