IBM visited the Career Studio in order to showcase their opportunities for our students.

4 valuable facts regarding the application process taken from the event:

1. A vital stage of the application process is the online application form; Karolina and Holly (the representatives from IBM) are both placement students and suggest that ‘during this section you should really stand out from the crowd, try to avoid generic answers and be creative/Innovative!’

2. An assessment centre is part of the final stage of the recruitment process – presentation skills are a key focus during this stage as you will be required to give a short presentation a long with group activities and tests.

3. There are no specific requirements that you need to apply to IBM, they match your pool of skills to specific projects- they aid you in the right direction!

4. IBM have also tried to shorten their application process, as you will find out in just 4 weeks whether you have got the job or not! This is in relation to placements/internships/graduate jobs.
