Weightmans visited the Career Studio in order to showcase their opportunities for our students.
Four valuable things learnt from Weightmans LLP Masterclass on Assessment Centres:
1. In any assessment centre is it important to start off a task with making a plan and strategy.
- Timings are the key! Consider having a time keeper to make sure you keep to the plan.
2. Evaluate the strengths of each team member.
- Can you split up tasks in accordance to who has the right skills and knowledge in order to save time?
3. Completing the task or getting the right answer is not the aim.
- Don’t panic when the task is very difficult, the recruiter is looking at the way you tackle this problem and how you behave during this.
4. As abstract and strange the task may seem, there is always a good reason behind it!
- The recruiter knows what they are looking for and this assessment is suited to this- Just go along with it and do your best!
