I Got Hired: Shauna

Posted on: 8 November 2024 by Ruby O'Sullivan in Class of 2023

Shauna Bland is a Class of 2023 Law with Philosophy graduate who is now working as a Private Client Paralegal at Gamlins Law.

How did you hear about your role and decide to apply for it?

I met some of my current colleagues at the School of Law careers fair in 2022 when I was in my final year. I had heard of the company before, but wasn't sure about how to apply for a job or the process of applying for a training contract.

How did you get to where you are now?

I did a lot of research into the firms in my local area and promoting myself through the careers fair.

Your favourite experience in your role?

I love meeting and working with my clients and the sense of knowing that I am helping people ease their worries about the legalities of their later life planning.

The most challenging part of your graduate journey?

The transition between university life is hard, but very rewarding once you get into the swing of things and being able to find your footing.

Graduate Outcomes Survey

The Graduate Outcomes survey exists to improve the experience of future students. All graduates are asked to share their perspectives 15 months after they finish their course, to build a national picture that UK universities and colleges use to innovate their services. League tables, Prospects and The Complete University Guide use our Graduate Outcomes data to help students make decisions about their future.
