Love Liverpool: Jake

Jake Hilton is a Class of 2023 Law graduate. He tells us all about his Graduate Executive Internship role and why he loves Liverpool.

I applied on Handshake to be a Careers Champion with the Career and Employability team, and the opportunity to progress to become an intern arose and I took the up the position!

I am currently studying a Master's in Law so this role fits perfectly around my studies and is flexible, so it felt like the perfect fit to stay.

The opportunities to build and develop new skills has been really rewarding so far and building connections on LinkedIn with the aim of helping support graduates with their career goals.

I'd advise any students and graduates currently looking for opportunities to stay up to date with the University socials and Handshake and try an attend any job fairs and events the university holds.

I love Liverpool becuase the city is just a very friendly warming place that is full of opportunity and creativity that always is thriving.
