Class of 2021 Chemistry graduate, Llywelyn Wake gives us his top three tips for other students looking for graduate roles.

What is your current job title and organisation you work for?

Field Service Engineer at Antylia Scientific.

How did you find the job?

Indeed.

How did you get to where you are now?

Worked in pharmaceuticals for 1 year to get experience then applied to engineering instead.

What is your favourite experience as part of your role?

Repairing critical equipment for hospitals and laboratories.

What was the most challenging part of your graduate journey?

Getting interviews.

What are your top three tips for other students?

1. Be selective so you don't have to look for another job soon after your first one.
2. Negotiate the salary.
3. Ask about training opportunities in the job and certification.
