I Got Hired: Area Manager at Aldi

Emma Mullan is a Class of 2022 Law graduate, now working as an Area Manager at Aldi.

I heard about the Aldi Area Manager Graduate Scheme and applied online.

I was interested in pursuing a career outside of the law field, and I completed the Aldi recruitment process and joined the business in July 2022. I’ve enjoyed learning new skills and developing within my role.

The graduate scheme has given me the chance to work in different areas of the North West and I love the flexibility Aldi offer! The transition to full time work can be quite tiring after university, however, I adjusted very quickly.

My top 3 tips for current students and graduates:

1. Apply early! It’s good to get practice at completing job applications, even if you aren’t 100% sure what you’d like to do

2. Keep an open mind - you might find the perfect role for you outside of your degree subject

3. Reach out to current graduates to get advice on applications / life after university
