Helping graduates fast-track their career development

The Professional Graduate Programme is designed to support the growth and development of recent graduates. It is tailored to help graduates develop the skills, competencies, and experience needed to thrive in the world of work.

About the Programme

This is a new programme specifically designed for recent graduates and delivered by the Careers and Employability Team at the University of Liverpool, in partnership with businesses across the Liverpool City Region (LCR).

Graduates seek to benefit from the programme in many ways, including engaging workshops, industry insights, and building a growing network of professional contacts.

The programme offers:

  • A professional learning experience provided by the University of Liverpool.
  • Training on key topics designed to accelerate personal development.
  • Networking opportunities with local businesses and fellow graduates.
  • Access to valuable digital tools and career resources.

Programme Dates and Themes

The programme offers various intakes throughout the year, allowing graduates to join at multiple points. Each cohort participates in 6 in-person sessions delivered on campus over 12 weeks, providing a structured yet flexible learning environment.

Throughout the programme, graduates will develop a range of skills across key themes. Themes include personal branding, career confidence, stakeholder management and working collaboratively.

We provide a supportive learning environment with interactive, hands-on workshops, guest speakers, and facilitators. All participants will receive access to learning materials after each session and have opportunities to engage with the content.
