RISE

upReach’s RISE Programme is typically a 3 year programme of personalised career support, designed to help eligible university students at upReach’s partner universities. The programme enables students to achieve their career ambitions with help applying for work experience, internships and graduate opportunities at any employer in any career sector.

upReach’s RISE programme is a personalised career support programme for eligible students, offering guidance throughout your university journey. They help you explore career options, develop key skills, expand your professional network, and secure internships, work experience, and graduate roles in any sector. 

Are You Eligible? 

upReach is a social mobility charity focused on supporting students from under-represented backgrounds. To join the RISE programme, you must: 

  • Be a full-time undergraduate student. 
  • Typically start in your first year of university (or early in your second year). 
  • Have achieved at least BBB at A-level (contextual factors like your school or area are considered through our REALRating form). 
  • Be from any degree background. 

Once enrolled, you’ll receive support throughout university and for 12 months after graduation. 

What Does the Programme Involve? 

When you join, you’ll be paired with an upReach Programme Coordinator who will provide personalised 1-to-1 support, including: 

  • CV reviews and feedback. 
  • Application and cover letter reviews. 
  • Mock interviews and assessment centre preparation. 

Additionally, you’ll have access to: 

  • Exclusive work experience opportunities. 
  • Employer events and insight days. 
  • Online resources like employer guides, practice tests, and career courses. 
  • Daily webinars to build employability skills. 
  • On-campus skills workshops. 
  • A professional mentor in your sector of interest.
