An informal ceremony will take place on Thursday 25 April 2024 in the Victoria Gallery Museum to celebrate the wonderful achievements of students and graduates. The EQ+ Awards will host 30 nominees, 10 employers, 6 judges, and key representatives from the University of Liverpool.
Light refreshments will be served throughout the event and the dress code is smart casual. The event will be seated and there are two quiet spaces for guests to access on request to e.roberts-vick@liverpool.ac.uk.
Event Schedule
5:30pm: Arrivals and Refreshments
Kick off the evening by arriving at the Victoria Gallery and Museum early and enjoying light refreshments. All guests are invited to mingle and build connections before the ceremony begins.
6:00pm: Welcome Address and Inspirational Speech
We commence the ceremony with a warm welcome address from Dr Paul Redmond, Director of Student Enhancement and Experience at the University of Liverpool. Following the welcome address a representative from our headline sponsor, The Very Group, will deliver a short inspirational speech.
6:15pm: Award Presentations (part 1)
Be inspired as we present the first four award categories, highlighting the outstanding efforts of individuals and groups committed to equality, diversity, and inclusion.
6:45pm: Buffet Reception
Enjoy live music and a hot and cold buffet served in the Waterhouse Cafe area.
7:45pm: Inspirational Speech and Award Presentations (part 2)
The ceremony resumes with an inspirational speech from Vasiliki Samuels, President of The Liverpool Guild of Students, followed by the announcement of the remaining four award categories.
8:20pm: Closing Address
The evening concludes with a closing address from Iwan Williams, director of Careers and Employability, expressing gratitude to all attendees for their dedication to promoting equality and diversity. Join us in applauding the recipients for their remarkable achievements.
8:30pm: Networking and Dessert
Extend the celebration by networking with guests over tea or coffee and sweet treats.
9:00pm: Event Close
As the evening draws to a close, we encourage guests to reflect on powerful messages shared and new connections made.
