Conference
I presented my research at the biennial Helsinki Photomedia conference. This was my first experience of presenting at a conference outside the UK and it was a great opportunity for personal development. In my presentation, I reflected on my collaborative doctoral research with Tate using creative, participatory and caring methods for research with family photographs. During the three-day conference, I met and discussed my research with researcher from across the world. The conference also included a guided visit and curator talk at the Finnish Museum of Photography, where I visited their fascinating exhibition, ‘Festival of Political Photography’.
