Game Engine Cultures workshop
The Game Engine Cultures workshop took place at the School of the Arts Library on December 1st, 2023. The workshop has explored the role of videogame engines such as Unity and Unreal in our contemporary visual culture. It was curated by Paolo Ruffino (University of Liverpool) and Valentino Catricalà (School of Digital Arts at Manchester Metropolitan University), and organised as part of the Centre for Culture and Everyday Life (CCEL) at the University of Liverpool. Dr Les Roberts
Dr Roberts will be contributing to the online book launch of the Territories, Environments, Politics: Explorations in Territoriology, edited by Andrea Mubi Brighenti and Mattias Kärrholm (Routledge, 2022). Roberts will be discussing his chapter ‘Territory Glimpsed Through Lache Eyes: A Tale of Non-Euclidean and Symbolically Authentic Excursions in Liminal Space’. Dr Francesca Piazzoni
Dr Piazzoni will be giving a talk at the Sorbonne's Research Institute on Tourism (Institut de Recherche et d’Etudes Supérieures du Tourisme), on the 23rd of May at 3pm BST.

Professor Michelle Henning
Professor Henning will be giving a public talk with Professor Georgina Endfield on 25 May at 17.30 BST, called A Lens on the Weather: Historical Perspectives on Photography and Climate as part of the University of Liverpool's Public Lecture Series 2022 on Arts, Sustainability and the Climate Crisis.
