School of the Arts Show Returns for its Annual Student Showcase

Students from across the School of the Arts will round up the academic year with a special event showcasing their work and achievements.  

The annual SotA Show is an opportunity to celebrate the talent and achievements of students from across Communication and Media, English, Music, Philosophy and the Liverpool School of Architecture. Taking place in the spectacular Tung Auditorium, the evening features a combination of live performances, artwork, and student reflections.

This year’s event takes place on Monday 3rd June and some of the highlights will include:

  • Musical performances by student bands The Drop Jonnies, Ad Break, Understudy and Darcey & Soraya
  • Talks about recent student international experiences in Austria, Chile and Italy
  • Presentation of student print productions including “These Starving Bones of Mine”, a creative writing anthology by postgraduate English students, and “Palette: a Way from Home” by Liverpool School of Architecture students
  • Original student compositions and artworks including “The Art of Felicity”, “The Alphabet Reimagined”, “Black Joy” and an original soundtrack to the motion picture Dune, shown with permission from Legendary Entertainment
  • Viral video productions from the Department of Communication and Media
  • Dance performance from the Department of Philosophy
  • Short talks from placement employers and alumni
