Following the successful introduction of the series last year, we are delighted to invite you to the next event with Dr Steve Cross, a communication trainer and stand-up comedian, who has helped hundreds of researchers improve their presenting skills (and many to win speaking competitions!).
Over lunch, you will have the opportunity to improve your skills in presenting your research at conferences, job interviews and in public. We'll break public speaking down into a set of different skills and begin to explore ways to help you improve in ways that suit you.
10 March 2023 12.00-13.30
School of the Arts Library,
19-23 Abercromby Square, Liverpool, L69 7ZG

In Focus, is a series of workshops especially designed for PGRs aiming at providing insights, guidance, and support with key aspects of your graduate studies in the School of the Arts.
It was introduced in direct response to student feedback and is an opportunity to share information and guidance while operating as an open forum for discussion and collaboration among the School’s PGR community, thus enhancing the Schools research culture.
In Focus: Smashing your Presentation! responds to student feedback provided through the Development Need Analysis (DNA) process.
