About
I have both practiced and taught architecture since qualifying in 1974. Teaching has mostly been in Cambridge, where I retired as a Reader, and am an Emeritus Fellow of Jesus College, but also with visiting positions or lectures in the USA, Chile, Australia, New Zealand, and a number of European countries. My practice (initially as a partner of Hughes and Bicknell, then at Nicholas Ray Associates, and for the last nine years as NRAP) has mostly built in East Anglia, but also occasionally abroad.
I am married, with four children and (to date) six grandchildren.
