Former Architecture PhD researcher Haniyeh Mohammadpourkarbasi achieves Certified Passivhaus Designer status
Dr Haniyeh Mohammadpourkabasi, who was awarded her PhD last summer after studying in the School of Architecture with Professor Steve Sharples, has become a Certified Passivhaus Designer. She received the award from the Passivhaus Institute in Darmstadt, Germany. Passivhaus is a low energy building standard that has become increasingly popular across Europe, and Haniyeh's PhD investigated the refurbishment of a Liverpool Victorian terraced house to Passivhaus standard.
