We are thrilled to announce that the School of Architecture has signed an agreement with the renowned Aarhus School of Architecture, Aarhus, Denmark, to allow exchanges for both BA and MArch students. The Master’s programme at Aarhus is also validated by RIBA (Royal Institute of British Architects) Part Two. The agreement will also promote research and teaching collaborations between the two schools.

The Aarhus School of Architecture is a prestigious school that has gained its reputation by producing top-class architects in Europe and across the world.

Back in 2023, the MArch Year Two coordinator Johanna Muszbek and the international exchange coordinator Junjie Xi visited Aarhus and had the wonderful opportunity of speaking with the staff and students there. They were extremely impressed with the facilities that the school provides, especially the advanced wood workshop, which is one of the first rooms that visitors see when entering the building. The colourful materials shop also provides the students with all the necessary resources. The shared café area is a warm and friendly place for students and staff to share lunch and coffee together. Who could say no to the Danish rye bread and delicious pastries?

From September 2025, our students from Liverpool and students from Aarhus will begin to take part in semester exchanges.

We are looking forward to the beginning of this exchange, which will lead to important collaborations for the future. For our potential BA and MArch students, you will have the opportunity to be on this exchange programme in the first semester of your second year of study in the programme, an opportunity that will broaden your horizons and enable you to learn from northern Europe.
