BA2 students have just returned from Rome, where they toured the city’s numerous works of architecture. BA2 tutor Davide Sacconi led discussions on the fascist buildings of the EUR42, the 1960s Olympic complex as well as Renaissance architecture by Michelangelo, Bernini and Borromini. Building tours of MAXXI by Zaha Hadid and the City of Music by Renzo Piano were also arranged, which were particularly relevant to studio projects back at Liverpool.
