The school has two model-making workshops that are spacious, and well equipped with a large selection of up to date model making and wood working equipment. Seven full time workshop technicians are responsible for the efficient running of the workshops, inducting students on the safe use of machinery and providing guidance on specific aspects of workshop practices.
Tools available for use by students include disc, belt and bobbin sanders, fret saws and band saws, pillar drills, hot wire cutters, vacuum formers and multitude of hand and power tools. We have a range of free materials in the workshops for students to use.
The school also has 3D/2D CNC Routers, five laser cutters, plus four 3D Printers that can be used in conjunction with software in the schools computing suite to produce highly detailed models.
