Can technology help drive design, engage with the community and contribute to the success of the university campus or even at the city scale?
This talk will discuss the key factors and benefits involved in embedding technology in the built environment and will look at a live project on site with University of Liverpool.
The project is called the Digital Innovation Facility (DIF) and will contain trans-disciplinary research laboratories investigating the application of digital technologies across domestic care robotics, chemical laboratory automation, manufacturing, autonomous systems, distributed haptics, multi-sensory transmission and immersive visualisation. The DIF will also provide office space and facilities for business to develop project work in conjunction with the academic groups.
