About
I have taught Latin and Greek language and literature since the beginning of my teaching career, especially focusing on Latin language, shorter Latin poetry and prose fiction. I have more recently been increasingly involved in the teaching of visual culture (especially art and gardens) and reception (art and epic). Arising from and feeding into this teaching, my research has centred on Latin language and literature (especially Catullus, Petronius, Horace, Virgil, and Juvenal) and Roman Art and the context of the house and garden. My interest in Roman Art Renaissance and post-Renaissance receptions also makes productive contacts with my own artistic practices.
