Members of the Material Worlds Research Cluster combine the study of material culture/fieldwork with archival research, literature, oral histories, the arts, and many other methodologies. Members' themes include slavery, colonialism and post-colonialism, war, migration, race, indigeneity, gender, craftwork, religion, and funerary rituals.
