MRes student, Emily Prtak, won best poster at the 22nd international Iron Ages Research Student Seminar at Cardiff University (winning £100 in isotope analysis from Sercon Ltd). Emily is working on the Molly Cotton archive at the University of Oxford - writing a history of Cotton (who excavated Maiden Castle hillfort in the 1930s with Sir Mortimer Wheeler) and trialling new method in writing the history of archaeology. Her thesis is entitled: 'The Molly Cotton archive: A lost history of hillfort studies' and will contribute a new blog on Molly Cotton for the Trowelblazers website. Well done Emily!
