The Garstang Festival of Archaeology, Classics and Egyptology (ACE) is a celebration of the University of Liverpool ACE Department and Garstang Museum past and present.
For the first time ever, the Department is fully opening its doors to the public, giving people the opportunity to learn about and participate in the interesting research being carried out here within ACE.
The Garstang Festival will begin on Friday 5 April 2019 with a series of evening lectures on the history of Archaeology, Classics and Egyptology at the University of Liverpool. This will be an opportunity to learn about the quirky characters that founded the Department and the interesting professions of the current staff.
The festival will continue on Saturday 6th April with a family-friendly Open Day. Experience what it is like to be an experimental archaeologist for a day and take a part in the exciting research taking place at the University of Liverpool.
