The Network for the Interface of Classics and Politics presents an Academic Symposium with Josef Nicholson
The Network for the Interface of Classics and Politics based in the Department of Politics and ACE are delighted to welcome doctoral candidate, Josef Nicholson who will present his postgraduate research and his theories of consumerism in the ancient and modern worlds.
Josef’s PhD is supervised by Zosia Archibald, Matthew Fitzjohn, and Andrew S. Roe-Crines. The paper explores how moves towards consumerism have existed and continue to exist within these historical and contemporary contexts. All students and staff are welcome. After his talk, Dr David Jeffery will lead a Q&A on the topic and his wider doctoral research. Refreshments will be provided.
