Programme Withdrawal, Suspension and Reinstatement
Processes for withdrawing, suspending and reinstating programmes include:
- clear requirements to consult with all stakeholders;
- deadlines for the approval of programme withdrawals and suspension to ensure timely communications to affected students and applicants;
- a maximum suspension period of two years, after which a programme is deemed withdrawn.
These processes will continue to be progressed using the paper forms accessed below; Curriculum Manager should not be used for programme withdrawal, suspension or reinstatement.
The process for the management of the reinstatement of programmes covers reinstatement of a programme without any changes to it, and reinstating a programme with changes that require modification approval or revalidation of the programme.
The template forms and guidance for withdrawing, suspending or reinstating a programme are available below.
