Advancing Practice in Prostate Cancer Management and Patient Care (RADT750)

This module has been created to allow learners to develop the skills to to critically evaluate current and emerging strategies in the management and holistic care of patients with prostate cancer.

Who is the module for?

The module is designed for practising, registered healthcare professionals. It is a standalone option which can be used to support continuous professional development.

Module details and indicative content

Learners will be given the tools to evaluate the professional policy, current guidance and evidence base relating to the management of prostate cancer.

They will critically explore the decision making, risk assessment and therapeutic intervention in relation to the management and holistic care of the prostate cancer patient, and be taught how to evaluate personal professional development in the field of prostate cancer management through self-reflection.

How you are assessed

There are two summative assessments:

  • A written critical reflection on your own learning journey
  • A literature review, case study or otherwise (scope of practice dependent)

There are also opportunities to undertake formative assessments including online tests and submission of reflective writing exercises.
