Who is this module for?

The module is designed for practising, registered healthcare professionals. The module is a standalone option and can be used to support continuous professional development.

Module details and indicative content

Learners will critically evaluate the professional policy, current guidance and evidence base relating to the management of head and neck cancer, and analyse the decision-making, risk assessment and therapeutic intervention methods in relation to the management and holistic care of head and neck cancer patients.

They will also critique their personal professional development in the field of head and neck cancer management through self-reflection exercises.

How you are assessed
There are two summative assessments:

  • A written assessment in the form of a literature review, case study or other (scope of practice dependent)
  • A written critical reflection on their own learning journey using their reflective wikis to help structure
