Advancing Practice in Image Guided and Adaptive Radiotherapy (RADT752)
This module adopts an online approach to teaching in order to consolidate and develop further theoretical knowledge and critical evaluation and appraisal skills associated with image-guided radiotherapy (IGRT) and adaptive radiotherapy (ART).

Who is the module for?
The module is aimed at health care professionals and anyone with an interest in radiotherapy and the use of technology in cancer care. The module can be used to support continuous professional development.
Module details and indicative content
Learners will critically ecamine and appraise the current national guidance and evidence base relating to the use of image-guided and adaptive radiotherapy, with respect to student’s own current practice.
In addition, they will assess the techniques and technologies presently used compared with alternative, emerging and advancing techniques and technologies used in image-guided and adaptive radiotherapy for a particular cancer site, with respect to student’s own current practice and experience within their clinical setting.
Learners will also synthesise and summarise key critically evaluated and appraised information in a focused and concise manner for image-guided and adaptive radiotherapy, for comparison and application within student’s own clinical setting.
How you are assessed
There is 1 summative assessment: Written assessment of 6,000-words.
To support the summative assessment, there are opportunities to undertake formative assessment.
