Module details and indicative content
You will critically consider the multi-dimensional impact of cancer, and cancer care and treatments approaches, in the contemporary societal context and apply ethical considerations of aligning cancer care and/or treatment approaches to the individual patient context and challenges faced in practice.
You will also critically appraise the effectiveness of how specific national and local cancer- related agendas are translated into practice, identifying any gaps/need that arise.
In addition, you will be expected to critically appraise context and practice of applying person-centred approaches in the management of care and treatment of those affected by cancer.
There is also an expectation of you to demonstrate critical application of your role, aligned to a multi-professional team working in relation to the coordination of effective cancer care practices.
How you are assessed
There are two summative assessments:
- A written assessment of critical reflection
- A 3500-word critical evaluation relevant to the context of own organisation, where learners identify a service/patient need and establish how are they going to change practice
