ATLAS has recently released an axion-like particle search in Higgs boson decays. The Higgs boson decays to a Z boson and an axion-like particle that subsequently decays to a boosted pair of photons. This is the first time this particular decay mode is searched for in ATLAS. All the main contributors of this search are from Liverpool: Dr Cristiano Sebastiani, Dr Nikolaos Rompotis as well as our recent graduate Dr Adam Ruby whose PhD thesis topic was this final state.
